Holy Cross Services
For nearly 70 years, Holy Cross has been committed to providing the children in our care the very best to ensure their safety and well-being, and to create the opportunities imperative for building a pathway for their success.
Holy Cross Services is a faith-based organization whose mission is to bring hope, promote change, and help children and adults live free, healthy and productive lives.
IT’S WHAT WE DO
Holy Cross Services touches approximately 1500 lives every day of children and families in Michigan, who are abused, neglected, abandoned and those who suffer from substance abuse. Plus, Holy Cross Services provides a one-stop community resource center on the east side of Detroit called The Samaritan Center. Our overall mission is to bring hope, change lives and help children and adults live free, healthy and productive lives.
We are proud to be recognized as one of the most highly dedicated youth and family service providers in Michigan, whose ethics and integrity are unparalleled and by which other service agencies are compared.
HCCS continually strives to find the best ways to serve our children by way of:
Contributing to the field through study and publication in national journals.
Participation in national and statewide training initiatives.
Sponsorship of discussion forums around key issues related to service delivery to vulnerable children and families.
Partnering with other private and/or public child welfare entities, in order to bring about positive change and improved services.
To be proactive in staffing our communities with the most diverse, innovative, and caring professionals who share our commitment to excellence.
Provide the opportunity for positive growth and development in order to develop the skills and abilities needed to become productive and contributing members of society.
To seek justice and be an advocate for our most vulnerable youth so that they can remove the barriers in their lives and resurrect their place in the world with the dignity, respect and self-worth they so richly deserve.
