HandleLife Basketball Camp At The Palace

The foster kids from Holy Cross Children’s Services were in for a treat on December 7, 2015. Not only were they walking into the Palace of Auburn Hills to play basketball, they were being trained by the elite coach from HandleLife BasketballJohnny Stephene.

Tom Gores and Coach Stepehene hosted a HandleLife Basketball Camp and Holiday experience for 50 foster children from Holy Cross Children’s Services.

Coach Stephene is the creator of HandleLife Basketball. He is a ball-handling wiz with an exploding business—a unique skills trainer for the NBA’s elite who’s leveraged the power of social media to become one of the hottest individual brands in basketball.

Tom Gores is the founder of Platinum Equity and is currently the Chairman and CEO. When he is not found in the office, Mr. Gores is on either a soccer field or a basketball court coaching youth teams, applying the same principles of hard work and inspiration that he does to his business.

The NBA is a strong advocate for having their teams give back to their surrounding communities. Whether it’s visiting kids at their school or in the hospital. The Detroit Pistons are definitely one of those teams that are active in their community and have been great to Holy Cross Children’s Services.

We would like to thank the Piston’s organization for being very supportive of Holy Cross Children’s Services and especially for hosting this event. We also want to send a big “Thank You” to Tom Gores and Coach Johnny Stephene for running the great Basketball Camp for our foster kids. This will definitely be a Holiday season our foster kids will never forget!
